At least five people were injured in an explosion outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California, Saturday morning, according to sources of application of the law and installation.
It is believed that a suspect is dead, the sources told ABC News.
An active search is ongoing to determine if there are devices planted in the area.
“We are aware of the explosion that happened this morning at Palm Springs. The FBI is on stage and we will investigate whether this was an intentional act. We will launch as much information as possible once we can confirm the details,” said United States prosecutor Bill Essayli in a statement.

The American Palm Springs reproductive centers said that a car exploded outside its facilities, but it is the staff, eggs, embryos and reproductive materials.
“This morning, an unexpected and tragic incident occurred outside our Palm Springs facilities when a vehicle exploded in the parking lot near our building. The explosion occurred at North Indian Canyon Drive near East Tachevah Drive just before 11 in the morning.
“The Palm Springs police and fire are currently on stage and request that residents remain away from the area so that emergency teams can work the incident,” the city said in a statement.

The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has been informed about the explosion.
