6.2 Magnitude earthquake near Istanbul Rattles Türkiye

London – An earthquake of magnitude of 6.2 has shaken much of Türkiye on Wednesday morning, according to the United States geological service.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of only 6.2 miles with the epicenter of the earthquake located approximately 14 miles southeast of Marmara Ereğlisi and 70 miles west of Istanbul.

So far no victims have been informed, but hospitals reported that many patients were admitted due to anxiety and panic, since citizens could be seen running in the streets and parks.
